Principal Investigator / Supervisor: Dr. SOUMEN DEY

Dr. Soumen Dey was born in Kolkata, the city of joy in 1977. He received his B.Sc., M.Sc. (Chemistry), and B.Ed. from Visva Bharati University, Santiniketan (a university established by the great Rabindranath Tagore, the first Asian Nobel laureate). Thereafter he moved to Presidency University Kolkata in 2001 and joined JRF in a UGC-sponsored project on Arsenic poisoning. He then qualified for CSIR-UGC-NET JRF in 2002 and joined the group of Prof. Sabyasachi Sarkar (AvH and Ramanna fellow)at I.I.T. Kanpur, India. He received a Ph.D. in the year 2009.  The area of research was the eco-friendly synthesis and host-guest sensing by calixpyrrole-based macromolecules. Reactivity with higher valent transition metals has been well demonstrated. He is experienced in spectroscopic, surface and crystallographic techniques.



            He joined as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry, S.K.M. University Dumka, Jharkhand in March 2008. In April 2011 he moved to the Central University of Jharkhand where he is working as a Senior Assistant Professor.

            So far he has published 54 research papers in reputed journals and 4 book chapters. He has successfully guided 4 students for their Ph.D. and 56 students for their Master's dissertations. Currently, 2 more students are working on their Ph.D. 

His current research area is to develop environmentally benign techniques for wastewater treatment for safer health. Various plant-derived materials have been demonstrated as phytosorbents. Magnetic metal oxide nanoparticles have been recently synthesized and used as potential materials for water treatment. Some representative publications are as follows:

    Dr. Dey received the prestigious FASTSF-2022 fellowship (Focus Area Science and Technology)  conferred by IASc-INSA-NASI in April 2022 to work on cutting-edge 'Air pollution monitoring' at CSIR-NEERI, Mumbai Zonal Center.

    He received 'The Distinguished Researcher Award' from the Central University of Jharkhand on the occasion of the 13th Foundation Day (March 2022).              

    Dr. Dey is twice the recipient of the ‘Young Scientist Award' conferred by the Indian Chemical Society in the years 2002 and 2008. He received a major research grant from SERB-DST, India under Young Scientist Scheme (INR 24.50 Lakh). He has delivered 10 invited lectures at various scientific meetings.

He has been invited to deliver lectures in London, U.K.

            He is currently a reviewer of many prestigious journals such as the Journal of Chemical & Engineering Data (ACS), ACS Omega, Environmental Progress (Wiley), Journal of Environmental Chemical Engineering (Elsevier), and International Journal of Phytoremediation (Taylor and Francis). Dr. Dey is a member of various coveted societies such as the American Chemical Society, Chemical Research Society of India, Indian Council of Chemists, and I.I.T. Kanpur Alumni Association.

            Apart from academics he also actively takes part in Institutional Management committees; the Academic Council (2015-2020), Board of Studies, Research Advisory Council, and Board of Research. He held the position of ‘Coordinator’ of the Department of Education (2014-17). Besides, he actively contributed as hostel Warden and mentor for the good living of the students. As a part of outreach activity and social responsibility, Dr. Dey has trained many school teachers (Delhi Public School) in various innovative techniques to teach Chemical Sciences.

He is the 'Member of the Court', the apex Regulatory body of Central University of Jharkhand since August 2023

Currently, he is serving as Assistant Registrar (NEP regulations and implementation) since April 2023.

Ms. Priyanka Priyadarsini Samal (2021- Ongoing)


Priyanka was born in Dhenkanal, Odisha. She received her Integrated M.Sc. in Chemistry in 2019 from Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology, Burla (VSSUT). She pursued a two-month summer research internship at Central University Jharkhand under the guidance of Dr. Soumen Dey in the year 2017. There she explored the possible utilization of several biosorbents for dye removal from water. Besides, she has also undertaken an internship in an industrial training program at NALCO, Angul (Odisha) in the year of 2018 where she gained knowledge of aluminum extraction and purification. After that she moved to Sambalpur University, Sambalpur, Odisha, and received her M.Phil.in 2020. 
She then qualified for the CUCET-2020 and joined the group of Dr. Soumen Dey in January 2021. Her current research area is a synthesis of micro and nanocomposites for eco-friendly water treatment. 
So far, she has published 20 research papers in prestigious journals and 1 book chapter in the book 'Advances in Material Science Research' by Nova Science Publishers, Hauppauge, NY, USA. 

Ms. Subhashri Dutta (2022)


Subhashri was born at Ghatshila, a beautiful town of Jharkhand in the year 1997.  She did her B.Sc. in Chemistry (Honors) from Kolhan University, Chaibasa in 2018 and her M.Sc. (Applied Chemistry) in 2020 from the Central University of Punjab, Bathinda (India NIRF rank: 84) where she got exposure to recent research
gaps and decided to contribute to solving. During her master's degree, she did a project on lower functionalized calix[4]arene-based lanthanide complex and its luminescence properties. She is experienced in the handling of various instruments such as HPLC, FTIR, UV-Vis spectrophotometer, and rotary evaporator. She has also presented in seminars on topics like carbon nanotubes, quantum dots, and biosensors. She then qualified GATE-2021 and joined Ph.D. in the group of Dr. Soumen Dey in January 2022. Her area of interest is to synthesize various functionalized micro/nonmaterial for sustainable abatement of heavy metals and dyes from a water body.
So far, she has published 7 research papers as co-author. Besides, she presented a poster in a conference organized by Delhi University on January 2022.

Ms. Saumyashree Nayak
(2024 - )


Saumyashree was born in Bhadrak, Odisha on 15th June 1998. She obtained her B.Sc. from Upendranath College Balasore in 2018 and M.Sc. from North Orissa University Baripada in 2020. She then qualified for CUJRET in 2023 and joined the group of Dr. Soumen Dey on 9th January 2024.
Her area of interest is non-conventional magnetic and non-magnetic composites for multi-faceted applications using a clean methodology.

Dr. Md. Atif. Qaiyum (2019 - 24)

Atif was born in Ranchi in 1994. He received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. (Chemistry) from Ranchi University, Ranchi. He then qualified for CUCET and joined in September 2019 for his Ph.D. under the supervision of Dr. Soumen Dey. He completed his master’s dissertation at Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) Ranchi where he gained experience in the analysis of coal by qualitative and quantitative aspects.


So far, he has published 22 research papers in prestigious peer-reviewed journals such as Biomass Conv. Biorefin., J. Cluster. Sci, Int. J. Phytoremediation, ACS Omega.  His present research deals with detoxifying water containing dyes and heavy metals using various plant-derived biomaterials and synthetic materials. The preparation and application of metal oxide and nanoparticles are some of his recent ongoing works. 

He was awarded Ph.D. on February 5th, 2024.

Currently, he has been working as an Assistant Professor in Chemistry, at K. K. University Nalanda since December 2023.


Dr. Jhilirani Mohanta (2016 - 21)


Jhilirani was born in Mayurbhanj, Odisha in 1991. She received her B.Sc. (Chemistry), M.Sc. (Industrial Chemistry), from Maharaja Purna Chandra (Autonomous) College, North Orissa University (2015), and M. Phil. (Inorganic Chemistry) from Sambalpur University, Sambalpur (2016). Thereafter she moved to the Institute of Mineral Material Technology (CSIR-IMMT) Bhubaneswar in 2016 and joined as PA-II in a MHRD sponsored project on ‘Synthesis on metal oxide nanoparticles and their application’.

She then joined in Ph.D. through CUCET-2016 in the group of Dr. Soumen Dey in October 2016. The area of research is the eco-friendly synthesis of metal oxide nanoparticles and the removal of pollutants from contaminant water. She is experienced in spectroscopic, and various instrumental techniques.

So far she has published 19 research papers in reputed journals of ACS, Springer, Taylor & Francis and contributed 1 book chapter. Her current research area is to develop environmentally benign techniques for wastewater treatment. Magnetic metal oxide nanoparticles have been recently synthesized and used as potential materials for water treatment. Some representative publications are as follows:

Jhilirani bagged the Best Poster award in the international conference on ‘Green & Efficient Energy Technology Materials’, CUJ in 2019.

She received her Ph.D. in November 2021.

Currently, she is serving as an Assistant Professor (regular) by Odisha Public Service Commission and joined M. P. C. Autonomous College Baripada since July 2023.


Dr. Roshni Kumari (2015 - 20)

Roshni was born in a beautiful city of Jharkhand named Giridih in 1990. She received her B.Sc. (Chemistry) from Vinoba Bhave University, Hazaribagh, and M.Sc. (Chemistry) from Ranchi University, Ranchi. Thereafter she joined Central University of Jharkhand in 2015 under the supervision of Dr. Soumen Dey. She then qualified for UGC-NET in Environmental Sciences in 2018. The area of research included eco-friendly synthesis and the use of natural materials for the removal of toxicity. Various natural materials have been developed as potential adsorbents. Binary and ternary metal oxide nanoparticles have been recently synthesized and used as potential materials for wastewater treatment. The pandemic situation and the interest in biochemistry motivated her to publish a review article on COVID-19.



She received her Ph.D. in July 2020. She has published 21 papers in reputed journals in ACS, Taylor & Francis, Springer, and EDS. She has presented her work at several International and National conferences.

            She has also worked as a scientist at State Forensic Sciences Laboratory Ranchi as a Senior technician. Thereafter, she worked as Asst. Professor at RKDF University Ranchi as a faculty member.

Currently, she is working as a Senior Research Associate in the Center of Excellence in Geothermal Science, Pandit Deendayal Energy University Gandhinagar, Gujarat since March 2022.

Dr. Sambasivaiah. B (2013-18)


Sambasivaiah was born in the holy city of Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh in 1988. He received his B.Sc and M.Sc from Sri Venkateswara University Tirupati. Thereafter, he worked in industry for one year. He joined for PhD at Central University of Jharkhand under the guidance of Dr. Soumen Dey in 2013. His area of research is to explore calixpyrrole-based macrocycles, their synthesis, and host-guest binding. Reactivity with transition metals was also demonstrated. He has published 4 papers in peer-reviewed journals. He has also presented his research at various scientific meetings including CRSI national symposium.

Currently, he is working as Asst. Professor at Sanskriti College of Engineering Puttaparthy, Andhra Pradesh since 2019. Besides, he is also engaged in various institute management committees.

Ms. Puja Chakrborty (2023-25) - joined group on 8th April 2024.



Puja hails from  Santirbazar,South Tripura,Tripura was born on 18 october 2002. She did her schooling from Kendriya Vidyalaya Bagafa. Later on for her higher secondary education she went to Sri Chaitanya Techno School. She gradually got interested in chemistry subject. She did BSc (Chemistry), from ICFAI University Tripura. And currently pursuing MSc (Chemistry) in Central University of Jharkhand. Her area of interest mainly in chemistry- Inorganic Chemistry. Beside academics she is a trained kathak dancer and completed her course in singing and art and crafts too.

She has undertaken summer research internship at NIT Agartala.


Ms. Archita Pandey (2023-25) - joined group on 8th April 2024

Archita pandey, born in Latehar district of Jharkhand on 27 December 2002.
After schooling I went to ranchi to embark in this journey to enhance my knowledge on my area of interest. In ranchi (2018 June) i joined marwari college And took science stream where I got a more deeper understanding of the things that I started during school, like learning more in chemistry and completed my graduation in  the year of 2020-2023 from same college.
Still I believed that there are things that I lack, so I started preparing for entrance exams and got enrolled in central university of jharkhand college for  msc chemistry 
Right now my Focus is to pursue a career in field of chemistry where I get to work on different researches  with  dr. Soumen dey. where my knowledge can contribute


Ms. Pooja Kumari (2022-24)


Pooja hails from Rajdhanwar, Jharkhand and joined M.Sc. in 2022. Her area of work is Plant-litter based adsorbents for colored effluent treatment. She has communicated one research article and completed her program in June 2024.

Her thesis title is: Ixora coccinea for low-cost water treatment. She has communicated her research in Separation Science and Technology.

Mr. Souvagya Parida (2022-24)

Souvagya belong to Bhadrak district of Odisha. He is working on a shrub (Wydetia bifurcata) which could be a potential alternative for environmental remediation.

Ms. Saismruti Das (2021-23)


Saismruti was born on 13th January 1999 in Talcher Town, Angul, Odisha. She has completed her graduation from Khallikote University, Berhampur, Odisha. After qualifying for CUCET-2021, she joined the Central University of Jharkhand for an M.Sc.
She did an Internship in the Soil Sample Analysis Lab in Chikiti Block, Berhampur, Ganjam during graduation. She qualified Pathanisamanta Mathematics Scholarship Test and received a scholarship during schooling. Also received a Medhabruti State Scholarship.

Amisha was born in Kendrapara, Odisha on 10th May 1999. She received her B.Sc. Chemistry from Ravenshaw University, Cuttack, Odisha. After qualifying CUCET-2020, currently she is pursuing M.Sc. Chemistry in Central University of Jharkhand, Ranchi.

She has completed her M.Sc. research in May, 2022.

Her title of the thesis is: 'Brinjal (Solanum melongena) stalk waste as efficient scavenger for EBT removal from water and wastewater'

She was selected in 'Vritika', an advanced workshop on Electrochemical H production at CSIR-CECRI, Karaikudi, Tamil Nadu in 2022.

Ruma was born in Jamshedpur (The Steel City), Jharkhand on 29th September 1998. She had completed her B.Sc in Chemistry from Jamshedpur Women's College, Jamshedpur (a constituent autonomous college of Kolhan University,  Chaibasa).

She has completed her M.Sc. research in May 2022 and published in a very prestigious journal.

Ms. Prangya Rashmi Sahu (2020-22)



Prangya was born on 9th june 2000 at Mayurbhanj, Odisha. She received her B.Sc. (Chemistry), from Maharaja Purna Chandra (Autonomous) College, North Orissa University. She then joined 2yr M.Sc. (Chemistry) in Central University of Jharkhand, Ranchi through CUCET-2020.

Sailendra was born in Khordha,Odisha on 17th November 1998.He received his B.Sc(chemistry) from Prananath Autonomous College,khordha(Affiliated to Utkal University, Bhubaneswar) and after qualifying CUCET-2020 pursuing M.Sc Chemistry in Central University Of Jharkhand,Ranchi.

1.     Mr. Abhijit Gautam (2020-22)



Abhijit was born in Ambala(Haryana) on 28 November 1997.He received his B.Sc. degree from Jamia Millia Islamia,New Delhi(A central University).

After qualifying CUCET-2020,pursuing M.Sc. Chemistry from Central University of Jharkhand,Ranchi.

His title of the thesis is: Adsorptive decontamination of wastewater containing Methylene blue using Millettia pinnata shells

Ms. Nibedita Panigrahi (2019-21)

Nibedita was born on 16th January 1999 at Jhargram, West Bengal. She completed her B.Sc in chemistry from Jamshedpur Women’s College, Jamshedpur (a constituent autonomous college of Kolhan University, Chaibasa). Currently she is pursuing her M.Sc. (chemistry) from under the guidance and mentorship of Dr. Soumen Dey.



She is recipient of many medals and prizes including National Merit cum MeansScholarship,Kolhan zone, Jharkhand.She was among the top three students of East Singhbhum district in the 10th board examination.

Her research topic is: Metal composite Nanoparticles for scavenging of cationic and anionic dyes using batch and column modes.

Ms. Shyamli Dwivedi (2016-21), 5-yr integrated M.Sc.



Shyamli was born in Allahabad (U.P.). She was selected to participate in the “INSPIRE Internship Program 2013, A congregation of Nobel Laureates and Eminent Scientists She was shortlisted for JNCASR (Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for advanced scientific research.  She won several awards in cultural, sports, academic and management events She is a winner of Table Tennis in inter College/inter university Annual sports fest KHELOTSAV. She has participated at regional level National Children’s Science Congress, and stood 1st runner-up (senior category) in essay competition organized by Tata.

She has been awarded by the scholarship of 0.03 million by Uttar Pradesh government in the year 2015. She has also attended 2 days Rayat-Bahra connect webinar series 2020 on ‘Characterization Techniques for Nanoparticles and data analysis’.She has also performed project (paper review) as a part of curriculum on the topic “β-amino alcohol.

  Her area of interest is ‘Nanostructured metal based oxide motif for long term dye detoxification from contaminated water’.

She has published a review article in Int. J. Env. Sci. Technol (I.F. 3.1).

                  Ms. Manaprava Kutruka (2019-21)


Manaprava was born in Rayagada district Odisha,the state of stunning architectures and cultures. She obtained B.Sc from Saraswati  DegreeVidyaMandir , Berhampur,Odisha and joinedM.Sc  in Chemistry in 2019.

She is an NCC cadet under the 19 Jharkhand Battalion and performed ‘Guard of Honor’ infront of the Governor of Jharkhand in 2019 . She has attended different science seminar on ‘Recycling of Lithium-Ion Battery’ , ‘Discussion on Draft National Educational Policy 2019’. She had been selected for the Youth Festival 2018 (Bhopal) for folk dance. She had received various awards on District level Quiz competitions in school.

She is presently working on the project ‘Effective Dye removal techniques using biosorbents and Nanoparticles’.

Mr. V. Srinivas Rao (2019-21)

V Srinivas was born in Jamshedpur, famous for Tata steel. He persuaded his B.Sc. (chemistry) from Kolhan University Chaibasaand joined M.Sc. (chemistry) in 2019.


He had completed the two days’ workshop on recently developed materials by Jharkhand council on science and technology in 2018, conducted seminar in graduation on Nanotechnology, and received various awards for debate and speech competition on science day in college.

He is presently working on environmental toxicology. His title of research is ‘Fabricated adsorbents for rapid removal of aquatic toxicants’.

Ms. Nidhi Kandulna (2019-21)

Nidhi was born in Hazaribagh, the health resort, in the state of Jharkhand. She received her B.Sc (chemistry) from St. Xavier’s College, Ranchi in 2019 and joined M.Sc (chemistry).


She had delivered various speeches and debates,and participated in several cultural and management events where she has won a number of awards. She has also attended different educational and social seminars.

Presently, she is working on the topic “Removal of Dye through                                                      Adsorption Processes”

Mr. P.N.V. Krishna (2019-21)


P.N.V.Krishna was born in Uyyalawada, Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh on 5th December 1995.  He received his Bacheler’s Degree from S.V.University, Tirupati in the year 2018 and pursuing M.Sc. in Central University of Jharkhand, Ranchi.

He has participated in district level sports like Chess,1.5k marathon. 

He worked for project work under Dr. Soumen Dey on the topic “Removal of Dyes through Adsorption process”.

Currently he is pursuing Ph.D. from I.I.T. Madras, Chennai. His area of research is organic synthesis using green techniques. He qualified NET JRF, GATE, SLET.

Mr. Vivek Kumar(2016-21), 5-yr integrated M.Sc.

 


Vivek was born in Bokaro , a major industrial center and  fourth largest city of Jharkhand. He joined integrated M.Sc in 2016. He has participated in School level cricket tournament ( Zonal level ) . He has also done event management in techno cultural fest NAVADHAR- 2019 and KHELOTSAV- in 2019 and 2020.

His area of work is ‘starch grafted composite for enhanced water treatment’.

Ms. Pallavi Kundu (2018-20)

Pallavi was born in Kolkata. She received her B.Sc. from Rammohan College under University of Calcutta and joined M.Scin 2018. She obtained highest CGPA in her batch. She had undertaken various projects in environmental sustainability. Her M.Sc Project topic was “A constructive review on removal of dye effluents from water”

Besides, she also got selected for summer internships with collaboration with Dr. Amit Majumdar at IACS Kolkata (May-July 2019). She worked on the topic, “Synthesis and Spectroscopic Characterization of a Dicobalt (II) complex in a symmetric dinucleating ligand”.

She bagged various awards: First prize in “Chemiquiz - Mystic Chemistry” (UGC Sponsored International Year Of Chemistry 2011 Celebration) held in Scottish Church College on December 2011. She Ranked 157th in the city in 7th National Cyber Olympiad, 2007.

Md. Adnan Khan (2015-20, 5-yr Integrated M.Sc)



Adnan was born in Khunti, (Jharkhand) the birth place of Birsa Munda, one of the great freedom fighter. He received integrated M.Sc. in 2020. He has successfully completed 4 projects which were in the curriculum of his integrated course while at studying at central university of Jharkhand. He worked on honeycomb derived adsorbents. He has published 1 research paper in ACS Omega. He is experienced in UV –
Visible Spectroscopy, column modelling, batch experimentsndorganic  synthesis.

Apart from research he is also has a keen interest in teaching and is an active member in Unnayan (an initiative of CUJ) for the education of economically weaker children.  He actively participate in Quiz and talks and has received 92% in online quiz organized by Govt. J. Yoganandam Chhattisgarh College(CG) in 2020-21 by Dept. of Chemistry. Currently he is pursuing his Ph.D. in BIT Mesra, Ranchi.

Mr. MithileshMahto was born in Ranchi, the home town of M.S.Dhoni. He received his integrated M.Sc. in 2020. His Master’s Thesis topic: Batch Investigation ofRemoval of Malachite Green by Dewaxed Honeycomb: A LOW-COST ADSORBENT. He is experienced in UV visible spectrometer, column modeling and graphical interpretation (origin software). He has published his Master’s project research in ACS Omega. His title of the thesis is: Honeycomb derived adsorbents for efficient wastewater treatment.

Ms. Jyoti Kumari (2013-18, 5 yr Integrated M.Sc.)



Jyoti was born in the rail city Chittaranjan, West Bengal. She first joined in the integrated B.Sc.-B.Ed. program and later moved in the Department of Chemistry. She received her integrated M.Sc. in the year 2018.

Her title of the research was: Thiosulfate impregnated spent tea leaves as a potential phyto-sorbent for water treatment. Her research finding has been published in Int. J. Phytoremediation.

Ms. Priyanka Bhagat (2012-17, 5 yr integrated M.Sc)


Priyanka was born in the rail city Chittaranjan, West Bengal. She joined the department in 2012 and received her integrated M.Sc. in 2017. 

Her area of research was ‘Efficient Scavenging of Methylene Blue Using Low-Cost Eucalyptus Leaves’. The research finding is being considered for a book chapter published by Springer.Besides, she delivered her research findings in CRSI-NSC held at Gauhati University in collaboration with IIT Guwahati. Currently she is teaching chemical science in a school.

She published her work in Eur. J. Adv. Chem.

Ms. Riya Chakraborty (2014-16)


Riya was born in Jamshedpur, the steel city established by the great J.N. Tata. She received her B.Sc (Chemistry) from The Graduate School College for Women under Jamshedpur, a constituent unit of Kolhan University Chaibasain 2014. She joined M.Sc. as lateral entrant and received M.Sc. in 2016. She developed an easy protocol where a common ripen vegetable snake gourd ‘
Tricosanthes cucumerina’ was exercised as a potential phyto-adsorbent for the removal of toxic dyes from waterbodies. She has presented her work in Annual conference of Indian Council of Chemists, 2016.

Her title of the thesis was: ‘A Natural, Low Cost Biosorbent Tricosanthes cucumerina for the Scavenging of Methylene Blue: A study of Kinetics, Isotherm & Equilibrium’.

She published her work in Bioremediation Journal.


After  teaching in a school at Jamshedpur for couple of years, she joined Pandit Deendayal University Gandhinagar for Ph.D.

Ms. Lily Dipty (2011-16, 5-yr Integrated M.Sc.)

Lily was born in Dumka, the sub-capital of Jharkhand. She received her M.Sc. in 2016. She explored the biodiversity of Chhotanagpur Plateau and judiciously chosen an unconventional biosorbent ‘saal flower’ (Shorearobusta) for dye discoloration from contaminated water.

Her work was published in Int. J. Green Herb. Chem. in 2018. Her title of thesis is ‘Rapid Removal of Malachite Green Dye from Aqueous Solution using Saal Flower – A Low Cost Biosorbent’. She has also presented her work in CRSI-NSC conference organized by Institute of Nanoscience & Technology (INST) Mohali jointly hosted by Panjab University Chandigarh in 2016.

Ms. Suman Sinha (2011-16, 5-yr Integrated M.Sc.)


Suman was born in Bokaro, the second steel city of Jharkhand. She received her M.Sc in 2016. She has expertise in synthesizing various substituted Schiff bases and theirNi(II) complexes via a modified route with high yield. Her title of the thesis is ‘Synthesis & Characterization of Ni(II) Complex in Schiff Base Platform’. Currently she is perusing her PhD from CSIR-IMMT Bhubaneswar.

Ms. Sagarika Choudhury (2013-15)




Sagarika was born in Purulia (famous for Chhou dance), West Bengal. She received her B.Sc (Chemistry) from St. Xaviers College Ranchi in 2013 and joined as lateral entrant in M.Sc and obtained degree in 2015. She worked on the novel use of Mahua seeds for unique way of heavy metal and dye removal from aqueous solutions. Her title of the thesis is: Mahua Seeds: A Zero Cost Biosorbent for Congo Red Removal. Currently she is Asst. Manager at Canara Bank, West Bengal.
